LenaCa Enjoying life!
Now I just have to figure out what I want to major in.
I finished this Spring, and it is such a weight off my shoulders. It took me 11 years, but I can now sigh relax and enjoy where life takes me.
I am finishing my Associate in Arts at the end of this year. Transferring to University of North Texas in ‘09 to complete my BA in Journalism.
So excited!!! I have been looking forward to this for a very long time.
I wish everyone the best of luck on their scholastic journey. :)
I already had my graduation, but now I need to finish 2 more classes to get my piece of paper. And straighten out my other transcript issues, then I will be done!

I was at the University of Calgary campus yesterday with my hubby and while he was in a meeting I decided to see a student advisor regarding my BA. It’s been so long that the Student Affairs office had moved and I spent 20 minutes wandering around lost on campus. LOL.
Then there was the moment of shock when I realized I had been admitted to U of C in 1998…10 years ago now, and my last semester would have been in 2001 I believe. I had been plugging away at a BA in Women’s Studies and Archaeology when I had to give up school to work full-time.
It turns out I need 12 more courses to graduate (I’ve already done 28, yay for me! And I had honours grades…how did I manage that?). If I do 5 courses in WMST and 9 in ARKY it works out to 14 courses and I still can do the double major.
The sooner I can pick this up the better, as once I have babies my schedule will be even more restricted. I now need to make an appointment to see the Dean regarding my WMST degree—after that is sorted I must apply by April 1st in order to take fall classes. At least that will give me a few months to save up for it. It’s almost twice as expensive for classes and books now as it was in 1998. Yikes!
I am trusting the process and not worried about it. Things happen when they are meant to.
Well, I was registered for 2 classes, but that’s down to 1 now. I won’t be making much progress at this rate, but at least I got back in. My work schedule just didn’t allow for both course work loads, so I had to drop one. It kind of sucks, but I really need to ease back into it. I think I got too excited and kind let go of the fact that I work 40+ hours a week and don’t have time for a class that has 8 text books.
Anyway, that’s my progress update.
