We had great fun over the Christmas period, slightly dampened by my 3 year old having a vomitting bug for 5 days :/
Here’s to next year :)
It was not the same without my family, but I enjoyed it, all in all. As we are out of town, my son still has not seen the gift Santa left him at home. I think he’ll really like it.
Note to self: whatever else happens next year, I need more music.

I couldn’t find the sellotape this morning. Whoops! Had to go into town as I still had presents to wrap. All done now ♥

You can see from earlier entries, that Kate was an angel in her nursery nativity play. They performed Toby’s Christmas Drum & Kate sang away & did all the actions. She’s a superstar :)
So…
- I decorated the Yule tree, and my son loves it
- I made three different batches os cookies in the last month
- We got our son a wonderful gift; we hope to have many hours of fun playing
- I handmade our cards with my three-year-old help and send them to the family members and some friends that won’t be with us
Not many gifts or big parties, not even many cards, but also no stress and only things we really enjoy.
I found out I miss my mom playing the piano; that’ll be important to incorporate next year.
I may still get me a present. :)

I posted a parcel to my parents yesterday as it was the last guaranteed posting day. I still haven’t written any cards, apart from the 2 I put in the parcel. I made one for mum & dad with a photo of Kate as an angel in it though :)

I decided to buy a ready made fruit cake, which Kate & I then decorated. We made marzipan (yum!) & then 2 days later made royal icing & finished the decoartion. Can’t wait to eat it :)

We’ve written 30 cards for Kate to give to the children in her nursery class & have a list for the ones that DH & I want to send. Babysteps …
