How to live in a house
How I did it: I spedn my entire chilhodd living in houses, with backyards, etc, living in town with no buildings just houses, like a SRINGFIELD.
Then I move to downtown cause of my studies work, etc, (and to live alone!).
Now with a 1year son, we have return to a little house with a nice backyard, very nice ppl and SAFE for kids.
LOVE IT, no noises, elevators, extra $$, nothing, ABSOLUTLEY WORTH IT.
It is another way of life than living in an tiny apartment.
Lessons & tips: You got to love the "house" style , it requires patience and work-

My Dad left my mom and I a year ago. We used to live in woodside and we had a wonderful house with a grand back yard that had huge ancient rocks. I would go out everyday and climb all over the rocks barefoot looking for snakes and lizards. I found them all the time. My cats were pretty much outdoor cats. I have four of them. We have two chickens, High-flyer, and Little-wing. Little-wing I raised from a egg, and her brother Chief got killed by a raccoon, while she escaped with one wing. Basically, my chickens live at a friends house now, and my Mom and I are reduced to a small 2 bedroom apartment. I miss the smells, the outdoors, everything. I can no longer wake up to the swooshing of the oak trees or clucking of the chickens or the woodpecker pecking on our roof. All thats gone. All I wake up to is the ‘rhinos’ running around on the 2nd floor. I just want a house with a backyark again. Its not to much for a 12 year old to ask, is it?
My boyfriend & I decided a couple of months ago that we wanted to get a house together. I’ll be leaving my apartment of 5 years (& 1 previous year of apt life) for a lovely home with my new expanded family: our collective 3 kids & a dog. Miracles happen.
London property prices are so mad that an estate agent phoned me at work to say that the valuation she did a few weeks ago is out of date. My heart sank, waiting for her to say ”... downturn in the market…” but she said not content to spend £165,000 on a STUDIO flat in a scruffy area of London, people are now willing to pay £200,000 for similar properties.
we want a 2-bed flat by the sea in Essex, and need to sell this London studio flat for as much as poss to get there. So it’s good news. But -
Has the world gone mad?!
I lived in a house until I was 1, but it doesn’t count because it was tiny and falling apart. I have lived in an apartment with my mom and then with her and my step-dad for 17 years and I can’t stand it anymore. It’s too small and I’m embarrassed to invite my friends over.
i am promising myself that i will move out of my apartment by September 2007. i am ready to live life freely and allow blessings to flow into my life.
I’ve been in two bedroom apartments all my life. I wouldn’t even know what it’s like to have a home. I want a house so bad. My own backyard, basement, attic, yard. To be able to paint the walls, hang a picture or even callendar.
I live in an apartment. It’s not big enough and it’s not mine. I want the freedom to have a backyard temple and paint on the walls if I want, and more than six inches of extra space to store things in. I’d like a guestroom. I want a home, not a rented space.
