I went skydiving last year in August and it was the most interesting thing in my life. I’d love to go again, but once again school is holding me back. I plan to go again after I graduate.
How to go skydiving again
How I did it: Skydive Monterey Bay is where we went, and we rented a car, it had gotten fogged out the original date we were gonna go, but we went back a few weeks later and jumped outta the plane! It was Amy's and Rob's first time, and my third. I'm so glad I went! And I am going again in February 2009! :D
Lessons & tips: If you can't breathe, scream. It's a rush, ppl, and you might get addicted, just like any other rush the danger is there. :P The extra $100 for the DVD and digital stills is WAY worth it!!

I went skydiving once, when I was 16. Apparently things have changed since then; we never had to do a first tandem jump, and we jumped the same day (though it was a long day of training). We didn’t pull our own chute; the instructor held it and we let go of the plane (the brace on the wing of a Cessna). I had the opportunity to do a tandem jump a few years later, but a bad back stopped me from going. Now I’d still really like to do it, and I hear from skydiving friends that Skydive Chicago is a great place to go. Now to save up the monies!
I’d also really love to learn to pull my own shute, but that takes way more monies than I have right now.
I think that the next time, I’d like to go someplace scenic if possible and take the class to do AFF.
ive been tandem skydiving twice at skydive chicago. my skydiving goals (in order):
-go by myself
-go by the ocean
-go skyboarding
-go chuteless (like travis pastrana)
I went AFF last year and still get a rush thinking about it. It’s time to go again. Falling to the earth, the air rushing past you, the knowledge that it could go horribly wrong. Lost in the immediate aspect of life. Pay attention, the point is drawing near. That moment when you pull the cord and jerked back up. The exhilaration of being suspended high enough to see the patterns of the landscape. Just being alone in that fleeting space, forced to contemplate what your really doing. Awesome.
Its so cold, though! The first time I went was in FL and it was freezing in the air. I’m going to wait till the summer.
