I think I’d rather be a Dive Master so I’m going to change this goal… 6 years ago
I learnt to SCUBA dive under the PADI system just over a year ago. So far here is my progress:
SCUBA Diver
Open Water Diver
Adventure Diver
Advanced Open Water Diver
Rescue Diver
Dive Master6 years ago
This is the most serious and involved of all PADI certification levels and I loved every minute of it. It’s almost like a real college course. There’s a lot of physics and chemistry involved. There’s also a project and an internship.
Here’s what I loved about it:
I absolutely loved helping first-time divers overcome their fears and equipment problems. I loved the look of awe and relief in the faces of beginners when you get them out of trouble.
Also, divemastering the Rescue Diver course you get to beat up on a student just like I got beat on when I took the Rescue Diver course (acting as a panicked diver).
Diving in general is more enjoyable with the confidence and expertise that the Divemaster course will give you. 7 years ago
