get paid to do what i love

So I’m TA-ing the baking classes in my culinary program, and I just got hired for a job making all Organic/Fair-Trade fudge!!! I haven’t started yet and I still have to work at the group home to make ends meet but I’m getting so much closer!!

If things go right.

I wanna be a hairstylist and I think it would be fun to do and get paid to do it!!

I used to think this was counseling, while I do love it, it’s not what makes me truly happy. While it is rewarding in someways, it’s too draining and the kind of counseling I do pays too little. It’s good for right now and I’m very glad to not have to do something I hate while I figure out what I really want. But long term I want to do something more creative, I really want to bake and sew and draw!!! I want to work because I love what I do not because I feel like I have to. So I want to be a pastry chef and work towards owning my own business where I can sell my baked goods and stuff like quilts and aprons and maybe even some artwork!!! I’m really excited about all this, I’m just working on figuring out how to make it happen!!!

I’m already there

This sort of goes with “find a good job as a librarian.” Hooray again!

Well, one can dream, right? =P

3 months down the road and I believe it is a match made in heaven.

I work as a cultural orientation trainer for refugees.

My job combines teaching, charity work, theater and travelling.

Go to local employment agencies
Search and find my true passions
Update my resume
Write a mission statement about it
Network and spread the word
Apply just to see if they will hire me if if they are not looking for anybody officially.
Imagine myself doing what I love

I want to do my photography and my writing. Not work for other people. I dont care if i barely make it by every month with paying bills. As long as I can make it by and do what I love than i will be stoked.
