I really want to save up lots of money. Recently ive been pretty good. I havent gone shopping in months, but every now and gain I buy some silly thing I dont need.

Obviously not completely accomplished... 8 months ago

But I’ve downsized my life considerably and have made huge dents in getting my debt out of the way. My priorities have been straightened out!

Woo-hoo!

YAY!! 10 months ago

I did super amazingly awesome this month with the credit card bill this month.

Wow.
I’m roughly $1000 in debt to my parents.

But I’d say in the last week I’ve done really well with money! Eating more at home, not going out, not impulsively buying everything I see on Steep and Cheap and Whiskey Militia…

Eeek. 1 year ago

I really suck at this one. Working on it…I swear….

I used to eat out for lunch nearly everyday. But I have learned to cut back.

Ok, so I didn't do 1 year ago

so well with this one today. I spent $100 on concert tickets for my son and myself. I do have some money coming to me so I can pay them off that way. This is actually something my son and I do to bond with each other so there is a purpose. Still I didn’t need to spend the money and I have been doing so well. Funny thing we don’t know the lineup yet for the show. I read somewhere on line though that the Smashing Pumpkins were headlining and I have wanted to see them for years.

I did go out the other day and by some stuff for camping, but I was able to buy what I need at my local thrift store. I spent a fraction of what I would have spent in a retail store and it is all in great condition.

My boyfriend has actually commented that he has noticed a difference in that I am not bringing lots of bags of stuff home that are not needed.

It feels really good!

I am supposed to get a tax return but already spent it 1 year ago

I have to pay for a trip for my son to go to disneyland with the school band band (he got a scholarship for part which is nice), had to get a stereo for the car my boyfriend bought me (50 miles a day of just road noise is too much for me), new battery for the new car today, new suit for the son (needed it for DeMolay) and I swear there is something else. The good thing is I am not accummulating any new debt since I have the money from my tax return but I feel a little guilty spending the money since I have been working so hard not to spend money. My balances are reducing on my credit cards so that is a good thing as well. I am in the process of preparing for a garage sale and/or sell things on Craigslist so I can make some more money to pay off some more things.

Still doing good with this one 1 year ago

I have almost completely cut out lunches out and either have food in the fridge at work or am bringing food from home to eat. I have stopped getting my morning coffee at Starbucks and now brew a pot at home and bring a small thermos so I can have some when I get to work. You’d think living in the Northwest, we’d have great coffee here at work, but no it really sucks. It comes in little premeasured bags and is just so weak. I can barely drink it. I have to be pretty desperate.

I am staying out of the stores where I have a tendancy to spend money. Since I am losing weight I am starting to fit into some of my old clothes again (that are still very stylish) so I wont have to shop. I have a friend who lost a bunch of weight and can’t fit into some of her old stuff that so she is going to be bringing them for me to look through.

I haven’t really put anymore into savings but have been sending more money to my creditors to hopefully pay things off sooner.
