Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I phoned the doctor’s office just a few minutes ago and nothing was wrong at all. The night before I went to the lab to get blood work done my mom and I were talking and we both figure it’s stress. Ever since around the time this started there’s been uncertainty with my church, my dad’s job, and where I’ll end up for my co-ops. At any rate, I’m glad to know nothing is medically wrong. I just have to learn how to de-stress myself. 6 years ago

I am going to go to a lab later this week to have some tests run. 6 years ago

I’ve been doing a fair amount of research and I think I could have IBS, though my symptoms don’t seem to be near as extreme as other people I have read about. This has been going on since mid-December and I finally told myself to go to the doctor. So I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I know he won’t be able to tell me much of anything, but I’ll get referred to someone who will be able to do some tests and see what’s wrong. 6 years ago

janntExcessive sweating

I am having excessive sweating everytime I do anything the least bit active. I have arthritis and taking medication several times a day. I have spoken to my Dr. about this and he insists there shouldn’t be any of the medication doing this. I do not feel anxious and have not had trouble with panic attacks. I know I have pain when I walk but the sweating seems to happen with no regard to degree of pain.

I work in a profession where I am around new and unknown people all the time without issue.

All I have to do is walk more than 50 feet and my face and neck will start sweating and even though my face is red and sweat running down my face, my hand will be very cold.

I have had my heart checked and it is fine. My stress test did not show anything abnormal. 6 years ago
