lovingeveryminute is conquering the Great List
. . . for the first hundred degree day of each year! In the Valley of the Sun, that’s usually in May. I would pack up the towels and take the kids to the dollar store to get new flip flops, sunscreen and shades for the summer. Then we would stop by the ice store and get enough blocks of ice for everyone, eat ice cream cones (the ice store has Thrifty ice cream here, yum!), and off to the steepest retention basin we could find.
Bring bandaids.
This is really fun. i actually just went tonight. i highly recommend it, though nude is not the best way to go.
ice blocks are only, like, 2 bucks.
& with a group of friends during
summertime it’s a blaast
Do it with a group of friends, that way it’s even fun to watch people fall and tumble down the hill!
Once you’ve done it a few times, try creative ways of ice blocking such as: doing 360’s, making ice sleds with two or more people, riding on your knees, etc.
