ran 2.5 miles instead of my 5..sad but least I made an effort!!

Frogette and I walked the mile boardwalk, and then climbed the 194 stairs up to the top of the lighthouse. Whew!

Ran outside for about 3 miles, had to stop for a train, but its all good..seeing more results!



New running shoes 1 week ago

I had a gait analysis done and it shows that I’m a neutral runner. Turns out the shoes I’ve been wearing for the past half a year (Asics gel kayano) are wrong for me and possible to blame for my nagging hip pain. I only went into have the analysis done and try on some shoes and then I was going to order them online (this is how we shop in Ireland, or rip off republic, these days, lol). However, they had a nice pair on sale, 50% off, quick check online on hubby’s iphone confirmed it was a good deal and I just bought them. I’m so happy! Can’t wait to try them tomorrow. They look so much nicer than my old shoes, which makes me smile because my old shoes were a yucky colour.

I really wanted to try the chi running shoes to see how they feel. They look nice :).

ran 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday plus some weights..I can see some changes…FEELS GREAT!!!!!!

Ran 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday and added some weights to my workout too..Felt good!



Aerobic importance 1 week ago

I’ve been feeling off-balance lately, and Frog reminded me that almost all of the exercise I’ve been doing lately has been non-aerobic.

I think he may be on to something: I probably don’t benefit from the same endorphins and seretonin increase when I’m not doing aerobic exercise.

I’ll have to make sure to work some of that into my schedule.
