was recipe 1 which I have now memorized.
Here’s the easy version of it.
2 parts vodka to 1 part triple sec.
A bit less than a shot of lemon juice and a tsp of sugar.
Shaky shaky!
Very yummy. Will be a big thing here this summer.

Recipe 1 – we may have a winner…...
Very tasty!

recipe 3 last night – it being the simplest.
Not enough lemon and way too strong. I don’t want a cocktail I can only have 2 of before collapsing or shaming myself.
The search continues.

So I’m going to go with the lemon drop. Not the shot – the mixed drink. I already drink too fast, I don’t need shots.
Here are some recipes to try:
Recipe 1
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Ice cubes
Superfine sugar for dipping
Twisted peel of lemon
Recipe 2
I ounce vodka, splash of cointreau and 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice. Rim the martini glass with sugar. It’s a surprisingly very refreshing drink.
Recipe 3
2 oz vodka (use citron if you like)
2 tsp sugar (use 1 tsp to sugar the rim)
2 tsp fresh lemon juice.

I need at least two signature cocktails. What one wants to drink on warm days is not the same as what one wants in the cold.
Clearly my warm day drink of choice is a lemon drop. It is appropriately girly yet tart. As am I!
But I don’t know what would be better for other non-lemon times of year.
Let the tasting begin!
