and then my car flunked. The idle is set too high, so Neville hasn’t seen the last of me yet. My car misses out being classifed as an antique (and being able to be given a bye) by one year.

The mechanic that made my Triumph Spitfire run again. He is very tan and has twinkly blue eyes. I have wondered about him off and on..about why it took so long to do this job and about whether or not he over charged me. In the end..I think he has done a very good job and I am glad I found him (and I KNEW it would be expensive).

It is not restored to the level that I had wanted..but I am running out of money so I will have to wait to have body work and interior work done later. The engine is replaced and it was a real joy to drive again!

ooooo I have to come up with a small fortune to pick up the car..but it is nearly ready to be picked up! I have to call my bank tomorrow and see about moving some money. This cost more than he said it would.
I’m really happy..it will be a lot of fun to drive the little gal again.

He said my car is back in his shop, that he is going out of town this week but when he is back he will work on it and the car could be driveable next month (mid month). I assume he means September. I called back and left a message about how that would be great!
