I will from this time forward attempt to have a more positive attitude.I will forgive slights.I will acknowledge my self worth each time I feel as I’ve been demeaned.NO one can make me feel bad with out my giving permission. I refuse permission henceforth!

I have now been religated to another number.My education was calculated with the Duhrectors and the Childrens Librarians and the Highschool education of the other staff.That makes my education .887% do I have an .887% brain capacity?
It took me 5 years, 5 years, this is not .887% !

I can not stand having my intelligence or my education trivalized.No there is not a MLS after my name but my education is just as extensive and I LOVE BOOKS .This pisses me off! these numbers are now part of an official report.

1. no more decorating library land.NO MORE,use that money on BOOKS!
2.what is with only having artificial plants?Live plants make the enviornment healthful.
3.get out of you office.You can’t even run the circ desk with out getting confused. Iv’e had 3 deep and answered the phone directed a patron to the stacks and renewed a stack from over the phone by the time you get one patron done and you have the fricking MLS!
4.get the things ordered damn it. remeber the Da Vinci code you said it was just weird in the write up and didn’t order it i donated my copy and bought one more and then you decided that it needed to be ordered. when i told you to get the other 3 books of Mr. Browns you balked,I READ I KNOW WHaT IS WHAT!I give you patron requests for a reason because there have heen more than 3 req’s for the thing! that means that there are at least 10 people out there that are going to want to read it!Ya, and those 2 sue graftons that have been on your shelf to catalog for 4 weeks. people are starting to go to other libraries, and you say you want to increase circ’!
5.dear patrons watch your children i’m not paid enough to be your babysitter as well!If i was a child minder i would be making more money than i do here!I’m here because i LOVE BOOKS,I raised my 2 cherubs, please raise your own and watch them your self!
6.when you skateboard do it when no one is looking we have a crab on staff!GENTLEMEN,I raised 2 boys that skated, i use to Skateboard i taught them! i have built more boards than any women i know.i advocate for you every chance i get.those steps are just to tempting and i know it.i am the one that makes sure that skateboard mag is on the shelf every month for you as well as ME>But plesae do it on tuesdays fridays and saturdays, any other time and the wicked witch is going to call the MAN!
7.why is the copier always out of toner and why am i the only one that knows how to change it?IBM AND DELL SEND DIRECTIONS!
8.either stay in the study room and study or leave,i can’t stand the slamming of the door! and no it is not a motel room!
9.go home and play solitare with a real deck of cards at your kitchen table.some people really do have important things to do on the internet!LIke post resume’s and job hunt,type school papers!
10. bring your damn card….. you knew you were comming so why didn’t you remember to have it with you! don’t whine at me that “you know who i am” yes i know who you are i know your childrens names and how well or not they are doing in schooletc…. I want to have the card to cover my ass , when you loose a book or cd i don’t want you saying ,SHE looked up my card! no way am i going to get stung for that shit. it is a CYA issue and i will hold it holy!
11. do not come 15 minutes befor closing and expect to browse! this is not a book store. i’m going to shut the lights off one at a time and at the hour of closing if you are not done come back tomorrow! “You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here”

a perfect forum! I was informed friday that the Duhrector didn’t want to have sat next to someone with a certification she only wanted to sit next to people that have MLS’s!Well Sweetum’s That extra year in college didn’t make you better than new virginia’s young lady!she worked just as hard to get that as you did.An by the way, last confrence i went to i was the only Certified/certifiable person among 25 other MLS’s and they all made me very welcome!!!! You dear DUHrector need to get out of the Eliteist mind set the ALA promotes and get a F-cking life.!we 4 are fed up.we are quite sick of your need to decorate the fine building we have,of you stating to all and sundry that you hate books and don’t read! even going as far to tell the Library board president theat you hate books , that was the total limit. the 4 staff members you DUHrect love books and patrons( no matter how weird or insane)we don’t care if the blue colors of the planters match! we don’t care that the spine label is 2.42 cm from the bottom of the book. some days we are lucky just to get it on the damn things! we have hours that would put you to shame it’s no wonder you are never out of your bubble of an office it would be to much real WORK. Heaven forbid that the knowledge you say you have aquired would be put to the test!You and your crony have alienated more patrons than we even want to tell you about.You regularly piss off patrons of this town of 7000 because you won’t get out of your bubble, these people are use to FREINDLiNESS,not someone that is aloff and stand off- ish, you have been OURS for 3 years and yet you still do not know our town, you head home to mommies house every friday promply at 3pm.maybe if you stayed here and got to know the people!?
2. You are not a vegetarian….. you eat fats and startches all day and then wonder why your ass has enlarged. popcorn and chocolate are not vegetables! vegetarians eat VEG, FRUIT and mushrooms and,and,and.. you even said you hate the taste of an apple?. you can not say you do not eat these things(VEG) and then say you are a vegetarian. maybe you would not have to take off to go to the Doctor so much if you ate correctly. i bet you never told the good old DR. what you really eat!GET A Life….. you don’t want to give us 4 a pay increase. you will not even broach the subject with the board…. yet you want to hire a 400$ a day cataloger. Women, that’s what you were, a cataloger. it seems to me that you could do it still if you were a little more on top of the shit that goes on in library land! Does MLS now stand for methodically lazy and slow!? collection development is a joke,it took 8 months to get a book i said was going to be a hit ,while i got it for people on ILL you had the req’ in your File!, i personally know that there are some there since september! Call the B&T wonderkinds and get the shit ordered!....
I now have to stop because i am starting to cuss and thats not the done thing… the rest for another day . or maybe later after i get my thought pattern calm.
