I bought some DVD’s last week, because I had some money and I wanted to spend it. I wanted to get Hot Fuzz but it’s not out yet. I ended up getting Children Of Men (sounded good, watched it, was great), Shaun Of The Dead (seen once before, was great, still is great), 28 Days Later (seen once before a LONG time ago, couldn’t remember what happened in it, watched it last night, loved it, last half our is utter madness, thumbs in eyes, made me cry a little bit, also felt melancholy), and Schindler’s List (not arrived yet).
I have some DVD’s that I’ve owned for a little while, nothing hugely spectacular, just Bruce Almighty, Snow Dogs, Kangaroo Jack, Crocodile Hunter, Ice Age, Terminator 3, LOTR trilogy… somewhere, think that’s it.
If anyone can recommend any End-Of-The-World/Civilisation films (such as Shaun Of The Dead, 28 Days Later, Children Of Men, you get the picture), that would be cool. I whole-heartedly recommend the ones I mentioned in the first paragraph. =)

Okay, so I don’t know when to consider this one completed or at least completed and “will do again”. Hollywood Video had a Memorial Day sale so we picked up Corpse Bride, Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and Kung Fu Hustle. Somewhere I also had picked up Shaolin Soccer. Stephen Chow is the next Jackie Chan. My wife got me Batman Begins (“Why bats, sir?” “Bats frighten me”), and my daughter received Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe for her birthday. That and we’re doing Netflix now so have been getting out fix of all sorts of obscure things (they make four volumes of the old Pink Panther cartoon…)
Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Dark City, Seven Samurai, and Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol. I. Slowly but surely I’ve found another avenue to spend money I don’t have.
