Woot woot! I’ve been waiting to get an email from our teacher like craaazy and a minute ago I heard my university email account clicking (it refreshes on its own) and then a little (1) appeared there! It was finally from the teacher!
And guess what! I got 4/5!!! Whoaaaa! I rocked it! I’m so happy (and blown away!) that I did so well!
Yaaayyy~ ^ __ ^
Latin sure isn’t easy
but I did manage to learn some after all! Wohoo!

Phew. Now the dreaded Latin grammar exam is behind me, hopefully I won’t have to take it for the second time.
I managed to go through all of our 18 chapters, barely. I tried to pay attention to everything, but of course I couldn’t dig into every little detail, I just couldn’t afford that. I only glanced at some things quickly and moved on to bigger things.
But considering that I only studied on Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon – evening, I think I did alright. I still hope that I would have started studying earlier, or that I had in fact paid more attention to the grammar from the very beginning. But I always try to live my life without “should’ve could’ve”s, they don’t change anything because those ships have already sailed. I could have been a better student, yes; but I wasn’t. No use crying over spilt milk.
During the first half of the course I also had to learn Czech and I did put more effort into learning that language, Latin came second. I was also pretty sick for quite some time and afterwards I’ve just been experiencing a lack of enthusiasm and energy. I’m not trying to make excuses, I’m just saying how things were and that we can’t always be at the top of our game. :)
I do think that our teacher could have made the exam much more difficult if he had wanted to be a big meanie but luckily he didn’t. It was hard enough now. :D There were some questions that I could answer easily, but there were many of those that I seriously had to think about for a long time and I’m still not sure if I got them right. Some of my answers were just plain guesses. But I seriously hope that I got enough of them right, so that I’ll pass. Fingers crossed.
We should get the results by Sunday. I’m anxious to hear how the exam really went for me.
I still have a short translation assignment to turn in, I’ll try to do it next week. (Deadline is, however, at the end of December.)

Now I’m beyond terrified.
The exam is on Thursday, the day after tomorrow. I didn’t study at all during the weekend when I was at my mum’s. :z
The prospect of the exam keeps paralyzing me. All I’m able to do seems to be whining about the exam, hoping it was over already and cursing it all the way to the inner circle of hell.
I’m doomed.

The exam for my beginner’s course in Latin is in 9 days
and I am completely terrified. :z
I haven’t been doing as well with Latin as I had hoped I’d do. Maybe it’s just too hard for me. I understand most things but just can’t remember them later on. I still have to check so many words while I’m translating our text chapters, it’s really frustrating.
The worst thing for me are the endings of the words: I don’t remember what’s the difference between -um, -orum, -is, -am, -o, -ibus and so on.
I just have to hope that I’ll be able to pass the exam somehow. I’ll have to try to study a lot for it, sigh.
