How the heck can I windsurf in Quebec. Every place is frozen right now!
How to learn to windsurf
It made me
feel AMAZING 
"Loads of fun...this sport is such a rush"
How I did it:
- On holiday I went on this 3 day crash course
- After the holiday I went windsurfing with my dad every weekend we could spare
- Went on the intermediate course with a group of friends
- Continued windsurfing on a regular basis
Lessons & tips:
- Once you get the momentum of going windsurfing on a regular basis; DO NOT loose it, or you will loose your nerve to go
- For the first month; always go with an experienced wind surfer. They will be a) give you encouragement b) advice on improvement
Resources:
- Always rent a board/rig- it makes transport so much easier and you can just get on with the sport
- After you know this is the goal for you- buy a wetsuit, you will feel loads better wearing your nice dry wetsuit to get into some soggy, sweaty, ripped, unwashed suit

_I wish I had carried on a few years ago. I have now brought some new gear and I am ready to go. Anyone wanna join me in the freezing cold South Kent sea? I have mae a promise to do it this time come rain or snow!

OK, this is a real long shot. I have scheduled a class to learn to sail. If I learn to sail, maybe I can learn to windsurf.

I wanted to windsurf at sea, but since I have to start from scratch some people advised me to start kitesurfing in stead of windsurfing.

Great fun. A friend helped me learn. First time though was actually bought equipment instead of rental, however I was cheap and paid $400 for 2 windsurfers that I could never stand up on. It was probably made in the 70’s. Anyway I did some research and felt a wide board would really help. For my second set bought a GO board, awesome fun and quick learning by a factor of 10!
As that commercial goes, for beginners at least, Wider is better!

Save up a little money to buy some used windsurfing equipment and go out on the lakes this summer and learn how to do it.
