leave a note in a library book

I like copying out a short poem on a scrap of paper and leaving it in a library book.

I want to live an email or sth to know who got the note….

“If you’ve gotten this far, finish the book, it’s worth it!”

I help out in the school library just about everyday so really this goal is just about getting around to leaving a note there. i’ve left quite a few when i do things like reserve books for people or set books aside but i want to leave a ‘personalised’ note.

‘Leave a “note” in a library book’, means just that. Leaving a scrap of paper with writing on it inside a book, not defacing it. I work in the library myself, and I can’t stand folding down the corners of books either, let alone writing in one.

I left the lyrics to ‘Mae – We’re So Far Away’ on a ripped piece of paper for someone.
I wrote the name of the song on the back.

Hopefully someone with a bit of common sense found it, looked it up and got a decent taste in music.

but I suppose it depend on who finds the note in the book.
