I’ve alaways felt destined for a higher calling. Ordinary stuff bores me. I’m middle aged now and realize that time waits fior no man – including little ‘ol me’. So while I sit here in my suburbia home, listening to the kids paly in the family room. I want a stab at the unconventional. Can I do it? Hell yeah! Will I? Well this is my first step. Our very future depends on people taking action now! Man is absolutley capable of destroying himself and the environment. As a society we should be mobilizing a great and concerted effort to change our lifestyle, habits, etc. in the name of earth and humanity. If that mans changign the way we get around, what we eat, how we work,,, then so be it. I believe now is my time to strike out, be bold and change my life’s work in orde to facilitate my share in the effort to change our world.

Just been reading The Independent and did anyone see the front page today? Greenpeace got the whole front cover with a pic of a Greenpeace boat tackling a massive whaling ship. It all looked a bit frightening and I really applaud the people that were on that boat. I’m a wee bit of a scaredy-cat for that.

Some of the most enjoyable years of my life... 4 years ago

I spent roughly 5 years working for Greenpeace, out of their local Minnesota office. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and would probably still be there today, if they had not closed down the local outreach offices. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that you are working to make a difference in the world. If you get a chance, jump on it!
