So Far, Ive been to Mexico, used to live in Germany, at least half of the US (mainly every east coast and southern state), and a cruise to the Bahamas. Id love to go to Europe where my roots are (Italian, Irish, Portuguese, French) and Especially AMSTERDAM! Since Im an admitted pothead that would probably peak my interest… Maybe some Tibetan ruins, Chinese Temples, or Ancient Pyramids… I dont have forever here, so Id like to see it while Im around.

I am planning to travel to Manhattan, NY Sept. 28 through October 5th. I can’t wait to see the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, the Today Show, the show Legally Blode, Madonna in New Jersey.

I’d love to travel as much as I can. Actual travel provides wisdom that travel shows just can’t quite replicate.

I started a new job about six months ago, and now I travel every two weeks. I work in NC and live in MA, so now I travel back and forth twice a month. When I’m not traveling to other places, like Chicago and Las Vegas. I’m using this job as an opportunity to see as many places as possible. Especially since I get to expense the airfare. :D

Very excited tavelling to KL(Kuala Lumpur) then onto Borneo, to visit orangtuan sanctuary, and will also go white river rafting, will probably be a paler shade of white when I have done it, heres hoping there are no alligators lurking nearby!! Also a bit worried about spiders(i am terrified of them) and snakes! Still thats what adventures are about overcoming your fears, aren`they? Then will travel onto Penang for a few days, to chill out for a few days before flying home.
The highlight will be of course visiting the orangtuan feeding platforms. Will post some photos when I get back, they will be the ones in the orange hairy suits!!

    Considering 2 years ago

that I’ve spent much of my adult life gadding around the world, I find it half exciting and half depressing that there’s still so much to see. No, scratch that, it’s just plain exciting. I’ve been to something like 35 countries but I still don’t feel like I could call myself well-travelled. The big omissions are mostly south of the equator, particularly South America.

Travel wasn’t really an option over the past couple of years, for obvious reasons (although we did get to go on one last holiday, for which I’m eternally thankful) so I’m trying to make up for lost time. This year I’ve been on safari in Northern India and skiing in Northern Italy (back-to-back – a 50-degree temperature swing!) and a driving holiday to Northumberland. Next up is Valencia in August, probably Berlin in September and then either Central America or China later in the autumn.

It’s impossible to construct a list of the places I’d still like to go. Or actually: it’s easy, because it’d only have one entry: Everywhere. So I’m marking this done to free up space on my 43Things, but I have absolutely no intention of giving up travelling as much as possible … and certainly not until I’m a fully paid-up member of the Traveler’s Century Club and the green has all but vanished from my worldmap.

    So far... 2 years ago

for the year, I’ve been to Chicago and that’s it. But Chicago was great. This might end up being a slow traveling year for us because DH just got a new job and his vacation time is all jacked up. I told the kids they could go to camp this year too which will cost an arm and a leg, but get them out of our hair for a week this summer. Plus, I think it will be nice for them to not have parents harping at them for a little while. Then my brother and his wife are coming from Germany, so I will probably just be taking them around Iowa. Oh well, I guess I have the whole rest of my life after 2006… ;-)
