Live in Japan for 3 years

well, ive done the math, and this is about the time when I can say I’ve lived in japan for 3 years. And this being the longest run (19months so far) and i foresee another 2 years at least. What can i say, I love this country!

Well, Im here! I guess this goal is now just a matter of time

Well, my COE came on friday and I took it into the japanese consulate on monday, so it my visa should be ready to be picked up tomorrow. I know its initally a 1 year visa, but its a start on three year, is it not?

and now we wait

I am pleased to say that I have been offered the position! so it looks like Im up for at least another year of living in japan, begining this November! horay!

well, i’ve started working towards this goal. I had an interview with an english conversation school, and Im just waiting until next friday for them to get back to me and let me know if they are going to offer me a position.

having a job is a big step toward this goal

so far, Ive lived in japan for 1.5 years… but I want another 3 years on top of that… I love japan so much! The people, the culture, um, half of the climate (the cold part of the year), the history, etc. I think what really really appeals to me is that I can be myself here and not have to worry about what my friends or family think. a very nice change for me! oh, and the money isnt bad at all. So why 3 years? Well, thats the period that a work visa is for. if I work the 3 years and then decide to go back home, fine, but I could also stay on if i wanted. ah, the future… so cloudy….
