Keep the clothes I wear now, so when I grow up and have kids they can have cool vintage clothes!

I was a teenager in the 70’s & 80’s so the items I saved fit the the retro clothes trend perfectly. I kept most of my concert T-shirts, some hippy and disco stuff, and my dance/cheer costumes. My girls, both teenagers now, love them. I kept an entire hope chest filled with my favorite clothes and a few other momentos I cherished while growing up. I would definitely recommend this -it so neat to see my girl fighting over who gets to wear what. It is also fun to tell them the stories that go along with the different items. One thing you do have to deal with is -once you give them to your kids, they will inevitably stain and tear them. You have to just take a deep breath and remember -this is what you saved them for in the first place and relax.
