Natalia is getting things done
I REALLY want to start studying in Australia in January 2010.
I discovered a course of my dream – Master of Communication/Master of Arts (Creative Enterprise) at Deakin University, Melbourne.
But so much has to be done to achieve this goal in time.
What is already done:
- I gathered all required documents;
- I applied both for the course and foundation 10 weeks English for Academic Purposes studies (still not offered the place, though, because only 2 days passed);
- haha, that’s it so far.
What I still have to do:
- pass IELTS (I’m taking it in 3 days, on September 5th); for the first part of my quest – applying for a student visa – result of 5.5 overall is enough. I’m sure I can score it on the 5th. But the university requires not only 5.5 overall, but not a single result in each of 4 IELTS part lower that 5.5. If I don’t make it this month, I’ll have to resit for the test of October, 24th. The worst part is I’ll have to do it in another sity. [DONE!]
- materialise money for tuition fees and my allowance; [DONE!]
- make a brief trip to the capital (Moscow) for health examination (a routine required by Australian department of immigration); [DONE!]
- get police clearance certificate (again, required by the immigration department);
- gather some other documents (financial, etc.);
- ta-ta-ta-daaam! Apply for Student visa;
- and wait very patiently for 1-2 months.
