Had a bit of a spree this weekend.
Got some 2 work shirts, 2 blouses, a smart cardigan and some earrings.

I also think I need more hair styling stuff. Hair spray and maybe some volumising stuff too.
As far as work is concerning this is going well. I’ve smartened up and I’m accessorising most days now. Still need to buy some more smart tops though otherwise I’ll become too samey.

Treated myself to a new purple eye-liner. Not a massive step but a step all the same.

This is a goal with two parts as I want to work on both my work image and my going out/ girlier image.
For both I need to style my hair more, accessorise and wear perfume more.
For work I also need to smarten up a bit, probably by buying more shirts and blouses so I’m not tempted to wear ‘smart’ t-shirts, which just make me feel scruffy.
As for going out, buy some eye make-up and I’m not sure what else…I’ll have to think about that.
I think I’ve finally got the right balance – I like to look nice when I’m going out somewhere, but on the other hand I’m not reliant on wearing makeup/having pristine hair in order to pop over the road to post a letter or something!
And, more to the point, I’ve FINALLY managed to do my mascara without getting it on my nose! ;-)
I have to say it does feel nice when I know I look good… and it doesn’t take as much effort as I always assumed it would. Ok so I’m too lazy to bother with makeup and doing my hair nicely just for work, but I’m getting used to making more of an effort when I go out, and yes it does make me feel better about myself.
Well I’ve been wearing make-up once a week (too lazy to do it every day!) and I did my hair differently a few days ago and got some compliments about it, which made me feel better than I expected. And I’m actually wearing a skirt today!
Strangely I hate it when people notice I’ve made an effort, and if they say I look nice it puts me off doing it again! Don’t know why this is, you’d think I’d appreciate compliments but they make me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I’ve sort of been bullied into this one as my sister has bought me an abundance of cosmetics for christmas and told me I must use them. I don’t mind when I’m going out somewhere nice but I really can’t be bothered on a day to day basis! I don’t think I look that hideous… do I?! lol
So far so good :) I’ve been straightening my hair, putting on foundation and making sure my clothes look ok before Igo out.
