I got my tattoo on Friday, the day after I turned 18. My parents were pissed at me…but they didn’t stop me. I thought it would really hurt, but I guess I’d compare the feeling to a very strong vibration…no pain at all. I’m not sure how long it’ll last because of the thick skin, but as long as you’re willing to touch it up I say go for it!

How I did it: It sporadically happened after giving some thought into it and really knowing what I wanted and why I wanted it. My friend has a tattooist he frequents who was more than willing to do my simple design on my foot for the minimum payment of $50. As I was willing to pay it.Didn't want to get anything that would ever jeopardize a career opportunity.Honestly, didn't want something completely permanent. As I said I never wanted a tattoo, but I … Read how I did it…

I don’t care how many people tell me it’s a bad idea. I really want it on the bottom of my foot! So I made the appointment for next Saturday! I can’t wait! I’m very excited. I’ve wanted this for a long time.
Ready world, here I come! Nothing can stop me now!
About 10 years ago I had a tattoo done on the sole of my foot. It’s lasted really well, however needs some touching up – so I’m going to just have the whole tattoo redone tonight. I can’t wait.
As I understand it, the key to getting a tattoo on the bottom of your foot to stay is having the ink sunk really deep. If it doesn’t hurt like hell it’s most likely going to come out in a matter of months. At least that’s what my tattoo artist told me.
Pain here I come. I hope the result is worth it.
I got my two last names on the bottom of my foot and it hurt like a bitch. For some reason i was under the impression it would tickle, but definitely not the case…Unfortunately it faded not even 3 months after and it’s vaguely there now. I’d like to touch it up
I did it 3 days ago. It was very very painful, but I don’t care about the pain.. but it was much more painful than tattoo on my neck. My artist did it for me for free since in 13 years it was the first time on the bottom of the foot for him, he said he has idea if it’s gonna stay or not.. I’ll keep touching it up if it fades. I love my new tattoo!!

Iam mostly concerned with the pain it may cause being on the bottom of foot, as iam getting words, cant really stop halfway through but i have a friend that is going to try and do it with no ink to see if i cant stand the pain. Will let you know hoe it all goes. but the only concern i really had was with the fading but if it lasts 6yrs i will be happy. Good luck to all that want it and hopefully it will happen for you all.
Just got my first tattoo on my neck and have been wanting to do a second one for a while, it’s a runic sign for protection. It’s not very pretty so the bottom of my foot seems like a good placement. I want it in the arch so it lasts longer.
this is the general idea. obviously, it’s done in permanent marker, which isn’t nearly so cool.
it’s a common hawaiian symbol for the sea turtle, which means a lot to myself and my family. i would only consider having it done on the bottom of my foot because of the symbolism involved in being barefoot and connected to the land.
I really want the copyright symbol and then my birth year…like a toy would have on the bottom of its foot. I originally wanted MADE in USA..but theres not a ton of sweet things made here anymore. right?
I’ve decided what I want. I am not sure when I will get around to doing this, only because it interrupts my dancing, but at least I have a beginning. I was thinking about what I could get that would be significant on the bottom of my foot one day and I realized that the perfect thing would be the geographical coordinates of my hometown. I am graduating this year and most likely won’t ever come back to live here but it is my home. Having it imprinted on me forever, especially under my foot will me that no matter where I am, if I am walking, I am going home.
