Have just paid off another £300. Not as much as I wanted but maybe I can pay off some more later. :)
How I did it: Keep records, don't get trapped up in late fees, and just keep your eye on the prize. Don't spend beyond your means. Now I'm working full time, and I have saved over 10K in one year! I have no more debt ever.

just bravely paid off another £160, doesn’t give me much to live on! But just having a bit less debt makes me feel a bit happier

I have £3000 I want to pay off on 3 seperate cards. I really want to get rid of the debt in 6 mths and so am going to pay off £500 a month.
Pay day is only a couple of days away so I’m hoping I will at least be able to pay off £400 for a start.
I have 4 credit cards, totaling over $20 000 in debt, with interest rates ranging from 14% to about 20%. All are maxed, killing my credit score. While I do owe some to other debtors, it’s a tiny amount compared to my credit cards. So, with future plans of buying a car and home, my husband and I have made paying my credit cards off a priority. I always make at least the minimum payment, but unfortunately sometimes other bills make it hard to do more than that. So because making more money isn’t really an option at the moment (other than lump sums from selling stuff we don’t need), I’m going to focus on cutting back out spending to help increase the money we have available to pay down the debt. As I do that, I plan on locking the cards in our firesafe box, rather than cutting them/canceling them, except for one with a $500 limit that I will hold on to for emergency purchases or online purchases that I will immediately pay off.
I will update as things get paid down, so I can keep track of my success and stay motivated (which I need!)

I finally payed my 4 figure Best Buy bill to $0!!!
I want to buy a car by end of this year, but I have a feeling my credit score is not too good considering my 4 credit cards thats almost maxed. I mean the credit limit on both cards arent too high anyway, but still I think it probably met 80/100. I always pay on time and pay more than minimum so hopefully that helps? I plan to pay off two of them within the next few months.. I told ya credit limit isnt too much, at least for 2 of them anyway. Oh well, guess I just have to work a little more overtime =(

I’ve downloaded some balance recording software and I’ve been paying little by little each month…it’s been a long and tedious process but I hope to be completely debt-free in January 2010~! :)
Hooray! I’m finally out of the bulk of my debt and let me tell you; it feels great.
Now all I have to contend with is my mortgage.
The only drawback is that you can’t blame all of your unhappiness on debt related stress anymore. ;)
