    Wow! 3 years ago

I finished reading this book at around 1am this morning. Although it was only one persons story from all those resulting in the tragedy of last years tsunami it really touched my heart.

All the time I was reading it I kept thinking how strong she was, but then realised in many ways she was just a young 24 year old woman who had lived, had loved and had lost and was now trying hard to rebuild her life into one she could be proud of, and one her husband would have admired her for.

    Fantastic! :)

PS: This was a full kleenex box type book!!

Half way through.... 3 years ago

I bought this book yesterday when I strolled into my favourite bookstore to buy some christmas presents and I started reading it last night.

It soom became very apparent after getting started that I’d need a box of kleenex tissues by the chair as i read; all i can say is that this is one remarkable young woman.

A story of survival 3 years ago

Trisha Broadbridge and her husband Troy (a professional AFL footballer) were honeymooning in Thailand when the Boxing Day tsunami struck. Troy, like so many others on this day, was swept away and died.

This book is the story of Trisha’s survival and how she is trying to rebuild her life after such a personal tragedy and the building of a lasting memorial to her husband.

I look forward to reading it.
