applewine, in existence — 1 year ago
applewine is here! the art is beautiful, and the music is even more so. alex still can’t get over the fact that this is a REAL cd. we’re hoping it will be a huge push in the right direction.

the new album, applewine, is coming up, and i’m loaning alex too much money to get it made into an ACTUAL CD. it’s going to be a digipak. the art is amazing and textured. he’s going to have 300 copies, so he’ll HAVE to push it like crazy.
FOUR of alex’s albums are ON iTUNES (click to open) now. a bunch of songs, which is old old old but really funny, the albatross project, which is slick and amusing, wharfless, which is epic and truthful, and the newest, the history of fishes, which sparkles like champagne and sounds as good as it tastes. he says the next thing he does (he’s thinking maybe an EP) will go directly to cdbaby and to itunes.
I’ve been at the computer in the library doing a little research for both myself and Justin. I’ve been tracking down information to promote our artwork. I’ve managed to find a few possabilities for galleries, commissions, and jurried exhibitions that lie close to home and one that continually accepts the works from artists everywhere. Deadlines for entry are not too far off so if we are to enter we must work hastely.

alex bought the college database. now he is ready to get some paying gigs. yessss.
itunes finally got its act together and put up a couple of alex’s albums, wharfless and the albatross project, in the itunes music store. i can’t tell you how it exciting it is to me that his stuff is available there. and eventually, the history of fishes will be there too. for now, it’s on cdbaby. some person in florida is the only consumer so far.
alex’s new cd, the history of fishes, is DONE. it should be up on cdbaby muy soon, like today or tomorrow. i designed the art in an attempt to make it look more professional than the albatross project. i tried to convince him to make it color, but i failed. for now, i just try to talk about the cd as much as possible.
