I’m a few pages from the end and very enthused about this book.

I saw my counsellor today for the penultimate time, and was talking to her about how I felt that this book pulled together all the strings of what I’m trying to achieve (freedom from anxiety, understanding and recognising learnt emotional responses, preventing these things from taking over my life and my relationship) in a way that served to guide me into the state of mind I needed to be present and aware, and serves to reinforce my own beliefs about consciousness and spirituality.

In short I feel like the lessons from this book, and it’s guidance, will provide the startI need to carry on the work I began in therapy and to live my life more fully, following my bliss all the way.

I’m grateful for this book and for it’s coming into my life at exactly the time when I needed and was ready for it. Starting to believe that if you remain open to going with the flow, it will work for you.

Well, I’ve been reading it fairly intensely, and I’m pretty amazed, as I thought I would be. Alot of what is written I feel familiar with from reading Osho and Taoist texts, but I really enjoy the straightforward approach and absence of too much prescription or deification of the experience.

It’s a very helpful and influential text and I look forward to re-reading it and working it’s wisdom into my life. It’s certainly made awareness and meditative, conscious presence a more attainable state for me alreayd, although it remains a great challenge!

I'm buying the book today 13 months ago

So I called my favourite local bookshop- Daunts on Marylebone High Street (if in London everyone should go) They have a copy in store and are holding it for me to pick up this afternoon.

Seems fortuitous, I’d just come to the end of Monty Roberts’ book and was looking for something to follow up. This suits my state of mind perfectly.

I was introduced to Eckhart Tolle through 1 Giant Leap’s movie and series ‘What about me?’. They interview him and his words and presence are deeply moving and struck a chord with me. Meditation, yoga, therapy, they are all my tools to learn to let go of the past and the future and live in the present, I think this book will be a huge step along the road for me.

    Hooray!!
