I really wish that I knew how to accomplish this goal... 4 years ago

I try to subtly encourage him to make healthful choices…and I occasionally share my concerns with him…but I try to not be too pushy about it for fear that A.) he thinks my motives are something other than his health and B.) that it will be perceived as nagging…and everyone knows what happens with that…they just become more determined to do the opposite. So does anyone have any suggestions for me on how I could accomplish this goal?

I sure wish I could get him to take a walk with me... 4 years ago

I’m not looking for him to run a marathon here…just go for a walk with me…it would be nice to have that time to spend together…it could do his heart some good in more than one way. I always ask him if he wants to come when I head out for one of my walks…but he never takes me up on it. I just wish that he would realize how much better he would feel if he did every once in a while. (Not to mention that I’d love to have him with me as I walk around the neighborhood…I know that pride is a bad thing…but I’m very proud to be his wife and I love going out somewhere with him)

I want him to see how his habits affect him... 4 years ago

I love my husband very much…I think he’s very handsome, sweet, and loving…but what he isn’t is health conscious…he has poor eating habits and NEVER gets any exercise. He tends to get stressed out easily and I’m very worried that he is setting himself up for a heart attack. I want him to see that in order to spend a long life together that he needs to take better care of himself. I don’t care about any of the superficial reasons that motivates so many people to eat better and exercise…all I care about is having him around for a very long time.
