Start a community garden

things are starting to come back. Not everything but a lot of the squash plants, melons, beans and even some tomatoes. The garners have also started to return. I did some clean up after the storm and watered a lot of plots hoping that some life would return and it did. Not a banner year for the first year but we are still not defeated.

HAIL has stripped nearly every leaf off of everything at the community garden. People are so disappointed. June is our big hail month and when we made it through I was relieved. I guess you never know. I hope everyone won’t be so discouraged that they give up.

plots have been planted. We have had a decent amount of interest. Yesterday the kids in the 4-H group I work with planted their plot. They are doing a 3 sisters planting and a variety of heirloom seeds. We hope to sell them at the farmers market I’m helping start.
