live in a treehouse

I will start building my treehouse in about two weeks, summer is here and I feel good :D I picked the tree, and the goals to go with it. While I am living in my treehouse I want to experience things, so I might fast for 48 hours. I want to write 500 words a day for a month while being up there, turn my mobile off for a week, carve our names in a tree, spend less time on the computer and read all the books I own.

My boyfriend and I want to build a treehouse behind my parents house in the summer and live in it during our summerbreak. My parents live near a lane of trees and we could really use the peace and quiet of that place when we finish school again this year. Also when we are over there we can ride some horses and work on the farm of my neighbors, which would get us into a better shape we are in now haha.

every so often I think of this goal again and just want it so, so badly. it would go so well with my grow a forest garden goal…

This guy makes spheres that he suspends from trees.. the inside is like an RV or ship – very tight quarters!

I’ve been thinking about this alot.
all I want is to live in a tree with people who make me happy and drink tea and make things all day.

this is not a hippy goal. show me the person who doesnt want to live in a treehouse. also if we lived in trees maybe our devolved, useless, shameful toes would evolve back into finger-like appendages with which we would swing from tree to tree.

This was my dream since i was little!! I have it ALLL planned out. I’m gonna buy a huuuge property and import gigantic trees and built a bunch of tree houses connected by bridges … including an astronomy tower! :D

My dad lived in a treehouse for three years when he was a little older than I am now…. 90 feet up in a Douglas fir overlooking the ocean.

I want to do the same, hopefully on the British Columbian coast. Not as high up, though. But I want to build it out of cedar shingles with paned windows and a woodstove, so it will be cozy and smell like home.
