i studied graphic design for a year and am pretty familiar with the professional technique involved in producing images for print. i just need to come up with a character and a small story. i plan to correlate the comic to the character that i have set to make for my design a toy goal. i’m hoping to tie the two together.

scooterbird it's a jungle out there, kiddies...have a very fruitful day
No good ideas coming to me nowadays. I’ll wait until I’m properly moved by the muse.

I’m not certain whether to do this as a serialized story or a strip, because I can’t draw at all. I’m thinking of just writing it and casting about to see if any artist friends of mine would be willing to illustrate it. I could publish it on the Web…right now I have an idea for a couple of characters, but that’s basically it. I’ll just roll those folks around in my head for a while and see if any stories suggest themselves.

to feel as creative and brimming-over as I did back in highschool, when I first began fiddling with this idea. But the inspirations seem to dodge my adult head now, and there’s so much else going on and i worry about my cartooning skills.

I’ve already done this, about 3 years ago – I wrote a very strange comic strip called Hie Helo -two characters who spoke a bit like Krazy Cat, phonetically written…it was an odd ‘un, but I loved it! The artist was ace, but he had too much on, and we lost the momentum unfortunately.
