I really think Peace Corps is the way to do this. It provided me with a safe environment, health care, lots to do and total emersion…not just a tourist passing through. I have a family in Africa now and faces and names that are on my heart forever. Totally worth doing if even just for the experience of simplifying life and knowing what you’re able to do! 9 months ago
