I’m going to Chicago for the weekend in December with my sister and her boyfriend and there’s no way I’m not going to Wicked while I’m out there! I”ll buy everyone tickets that way they can’t complain (not that they would cause it’s gonna be AWESOME)! Finally!
I’m currently reading the book- something to get me by until the day I take the time to go back to Chicago and see the play… Plus this way I’ll know all the background on the story before seeing the play (that plan always makes a movie better, I hope it’s the same way with a play…?)
i love the soundtrack….
i love the pictures….
i cheated and saw some videos on the web…
i am in love with WICKED!!!!
and i’m going to go see it!! in two weeks!!!!
i cant wait!!! me, my mom, some of my friends and thier moms are going to chicago!!!!!
it’ll be about a five hour drive, but some of my friends have seen it already and they cant wiat to see it again!!!
I’ve seen Wicked in Chicago twice. The first time (which was the better performance, IMO) was in 2005, when Ana Gasteyer played Elpheba. She was absolutely fabulous! The second time I went was in November of 2006, and it was spectacular as well. Every time I hear the line “So if you care to find me….” from “Defying Gravity,” I want to cry, I get goosebumps all over. If you haven’t seen it yet, DO IT!!!!!!
Naterade3 is beat.
Link: Wicked The New Broadway Musical – Official Website. We went to see Wicked last night. Wicked is the “story” behind the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz. The setting is the wizardry high school that both the wicked witch and the good witch went to school. It covers the typical groupies in high school, the popular and not so much, the drama, etc. We laughed a lot, and really loudly. I would definitely go back.
Kara and I really enjoyed going together, we had a nice dinner at Giordano’s, walked around the city in the whipping rain with no umbrella, and Kara had a horrific, yet very stylish limp-slash-pimp in her walk due to her workout routine.
Nate and I went and saw this last night. It was amazing…the music, the singers, the story (very funny), the costumes, the set. It was not overated…it was very good. I would recommend it to anyone!
Plus…this is the first “thing” I am taking off of my “43 Things” that I have done! :)
it was wonderful… of course… so glad that we made the trip!
The musical is quite different from the book, but it definitely stands on its own… and the music is thrilling!
