Did a fitness test yesterday. Average fitness,average abdominal strength (which surprised me after 3 babies) below average for push ups. Squats – SUPERIOR STRENGTH – I was off the meter! So I did 200 squats and now I am paying for it!! I can barely move. I feel as if I have been pummeled with a soft ball bat all over my upper legs.
Anyway, this fitness test is a starting point. – the plan is run 1 hour 2x a week, situps and press ups every 2nd day. I figure if my legs can be really strong there is no reason why the rest of my body can’t be. It was very motivating.

I won a 3 month membership at the gym, and I got somewhat lax in March and didn’t really feel like I was achieving anything. Until I realised if I want to get stronger I have to quit kidding myself and actually make some effort.
So, for the last 3 weeks I have been doing just that. The results – I have noticed that my stamina is better and I last longer on the squash court. Yay. Only 1 week left of my membership.
I will rejoin in November when the squash season is over.
