ele85 is a radio speaker :D
So far, I arranged all Queen, U2 and Depeche Mode discographies.
And also about twenty CDs of different groups like Blink 182, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, System of a Down, Muse, Placebo, etc.
But there are about 40 CDs which are waiting on my desk to be organized…

I started working on this in the wee hours of the morning when I couldn’t go back to sleep. Right now I’m just trying to get all of my CDs in one place and make sure that the CD cases have the right CDs in them. I’ve started a pile of cases with no CDs and CDs with no cases, which I’ll match up as I find them.

My CDs are currently:
1. Partly stored correctly in order on the CD stand
2. Partly scattered here and there
3. Most in their cases, but some not
4. Some probably in the wrong cases
I want to sort them by artist and somewhat by musical category.
I’m saving for an iPod but until then, I will have to deal with the CDs.

carabou set a pirate ship cake out to sail. Arrrr!
I have that little magic 48 ball option on my things page that lists some goals I might want to complete, and I’m tired of seeing the same things show up (despite the “give the ball a shake again” option). I don’t need to weed my garden. I’ve sat under a waterfall, but not German-kissed under one, I don’t want to own a French Press (I’m trying to cut back on caffeine), and being comfortable going out by myself is not really a goal for me (I’ve traveled to more than one country by myself; I think I can handle it). Why can’t it think I would want to ride my bike into a lake while wearing an Evil Knievel cape (or some other form of Flugtag fun)? Why can’t I have “walk the giant’s causeway” as a projected goal? Or “break a leg – literally – in a way that made it totally worth it”? Yeah, I agree, a lot of my current goals seem to be rather immediate and pedestrian (and long term – why can’t I get my dog to those stupid classes?), but if magic 48 ball is going to project goals for me, let it project something beyond my immediate self and not “make others laugh”. I’m a little sad I seem so boring. And yes, my CD’s are organized (and have been for some time). It’s called “I’ve got a thesis to write.”

I’ve done it by Genre, Artist name, Album name…too much time and too anal retentive…

This is my CD collection! I organized my CDs into alphabetical order, even the compilations, and since I’d done some decluttering now all my CDs are in one area of my room (before there were some in other parts). If I get a lot more I’ll have to reorganize them or something, but for now it’s done. There are a couple I haven’t put away yet, that I haven’t listened to, but I kept space for them. So yeah, it’s done! It’s good that they’re more organized now.

Made a start
I’ve listened to more of the new CDs I got, and so far I’ve put the letters A-R in alphabetical order (my CDs aren’t TOO out of order, but just making them more alphabetical – and bands with more than one album I’ve been trying to put the albums in order they were done). Putting S in alphabetical order will be quite a big job, I think I have quite a few CDs beginning with S. It’s quite a tricky job putting them in alphabetical order, and albums in order done – but I think what I’ve done so far is good, better than it was.

I want to listen to the ones I haven’t heard before (that I got for my birthday), then put them away. They are basically in alphabetical order, but could be better.
