Get a Vasectomy

I find it frusterating that I’ve been frusterated in my efforts towards this goal. I think I am perfectly capable of deciding if I want to procreate or not. Eventually I will find a doctor who doesn’t care and will perform the operation for me. Or I could just try castrating myself I guess.

I like the idea of getting an elective procedure like this done on the cheap somewhere with a favorable exchange rate, although I admit I do have this silly, simian, chauvinistic, phallocentric attachment to my penis and its continued function, so I’d like to avoid becoming a chop shop horror story.

When I got in the doctors room to get my Vasectomy, it took 25 minutes, there was no pain, I got my vasectomy 21 years ago, after you get your vasectomy, you will feel no pain after you have left the doctor’s office, so when the doctor tells you to go home and take it easy for 2 days, you better do just that, or you will be back at the doctor’s office with a ice pack on it, I had 2 kids before I got my vasectomy, I got divorced right after having 2 kids, and it cost me $170,000 in child support, I love my kids, but if I had the chance to do it all over again, I would not have gotten married, and I would go to China and adopt two kids myself, it’s about $10,000 for each kid, then maybe I would get married, when I was going through my divorce, I Never would have thought that my X wife would take me for so much money, the sad part is, you think everything will work out in fairness, in till she talks with a lawyer. Then you will see a side of her that you thought never existed.

Check out the “possible side effects” BEFORE you do this. It can/does decrease the pleasure of orgasm for years, if not for the rest of your life. AND unfortunately you could find yourself divorced, later in life, and then find a wonderful person who wants to have children. Then what do you do? Your screwed, and not in a good way. Don’t do it!!!! Let her make that decision for herself. Don’t allow anyone to make that decision for you. Decide not to do it, unless you are ABSOLUTLEY certain for yourself, that you NEVER what to have another child of your own. And remember things change, desires, wants, needs etc. as your life changes.

My wife and I just had our second kid. Two is enough. I will need to wait until july for more vacation time to take off of work after the procedure.

I don’t want anymore kids, my wife doesn’t want anymore kids. It just makes sense.

I’m on the couch relaxing, got an ice pack on the boys. It was a little uncomfortable, but it only took 30 minutes. Mark this one done.

I’m pretty much cheating by marking this as “done” at this point, but I want it off my list before my personal challenge expires.

I went in for my “consultation” last week and just called to make the final appointment. Not true, really, as there are several follow-ups required to make sure nothing works, but it will be the final appointment for the little piece of my vas that keeps it all together. Thankfully, when the Dr gave me a prescription for Valium to take before the appointment, he wrote it for 2 pills, which was a big help in calling to make the appointment, even if the nurse couldn’t understand me very well.

I’ll post a follow up when I’m confirmed sterile to make up for prematurely getting this off my list.

Dude – a crazy German doctor did it to me shortly after he and the nurse bitched me out in German for forgetting to shave down there before the operation. No, not only was I fully bitched out, I also got the roughest shave of my life – ever – down there – then got the vasectomy.

Totally worth it!

I have an appointment Monday for the initial consult. I’m sure all he’s going to tell me is… “go home, shave your balls, and come back on friday.” Too late, already shaved!
