If you really want to do this, I recommend going to a sci-fi/anime convention. Don’t think about it. Just do it. Once you get there, you’ll talk to people you never thought you’d talk to about things you never thought you knew so much about. It’s exhilarating and incredibly fun to just go and geek out for a couple days.

...here would be a good place for this.
Nobody knew that I can read and type webpages from scratch with those html codes. Nobody knew I have a lot of ‘cyber-friends’. Nobody knew I blog. Nobody knew that I visit several online forums and post frequent.
But… with myspace—it has become more and MORE obvious as my friends discover the link to my blog, see those “strangers” on my friends list that they never meet (and I never meet in person as well!), and the most OBVIOUS evidence that I am a nerd—I help them designing their myspace profiles when they got a glitch with a layout they found at some stupid website where they attach the stupid logo… I told them that they can change their font size, remove that stupid logo and everything…
gasp I have been exposed.
I am coming out. I confess. I am a nerd.
all by myself. and it works. who needs a boy when you have your inner nerd? :)
