How I did it: I turned on some good music, and then I went at it. I got baskets to label things under the sink, and got rid of old medications and things I didn't need. Then I scrubbed everything down, washed the walls, swept the floor and mopped. It's sparkling clean now, and I am excited to keep it that way. Read how I did it… 6 days ago

I don’t think the sink has run this smoothly since I moved in! For the longest, it was increasingly slow-moving. Yesterday it quit completely. Eventually I gave in and used Liquid Plumber on it, which is something I try to avoid for environmental reasons. But it worked! Even though I haven’t finished cleaning the bathroom yet, I am ridiculously excited.
Tomorrow night I’ll be leaving a solution of dish washing liquid, vinegar, and bleach in there to try to get a rust stain out. I’d do it tonight, but I think I’m going to give things a rest. 5 months ago

How I did it: First had to figure out which cleaners to use. Then experiment a bit to see how much and where to use. For the worst stains, "The Works" did a good job of removing stains in the shower and toilet bowl. Then used a combination of other cleaners for the sink, floor and walls. Bathroom is clean except for repairs that are needed. Cleaned up the basin and it looks, worn, but clean. Time to close this one. 6 months ago

After a friend commented on the sad condition of my house this week, I attacked the bathroom cleaning the floors, toilet, and washing the bath mats. It felt good to get this one out of the way. 7 months ago

I have gotten a lot of the grime off of the bathroom walls. There is still a large wax splatch from some candle tipping over many years back. There are also water drop marks on the ceiling. I will have to look up how these can be cleaned. Next stop…the floor 9 months ago
