noiire is excited about college and baltimore!
We drove three hours to Austin for the music festival on Sunday, on a perfect day. (Perfect meaning hot, but cloudless and a little breezy.)They didn’t play until 3:30 so we actually got to see Sybris and Octopus Project (both great) beforehand. I got to the stage an hour early and there were still about 100 people in front of me! Proportionally I was upper center (huge huge crowd.) I was so impressed by the following here, and the enthusiasm was absolutly amazing! Hearing Evan come on and shout, “We’re stars from montreal, and we hope you like our music!” was so surreal and I was ecstatic. They started with Soft Revolution, Take me to the riot, and then played a few new songs. They closed with What i’m trying to say, elevator love letter, and your ex-lover is dead. They also threw roses, which I managed to grab a few petals from (disadvantage of being short). The real icing on the cake, was singing along with the entire crowd to the last song. I felt so much less alone in my adoration for the band and it was just entirely overwhelming. Definately one of the most amazing things i’ve ever been to! Absolutely no regrets or disappointments. :D
