KayTea08 is getting frustrated

So Close! 2 weeks ago

This is the one thing on my list that I’m the closest to actually completing. My hair is just under 10 inches, and waiting for that little bit is soo hard! I’m not too nervous about cutting it all off, though. every year I usually get some kind of drastic hair cut. Makes me wonder why I haven’t thought of this before! But when I am ready, there’s a salon nearby that does Locks of Love haircuts for free =)

RCP_Artist is changing for the better!

I've wanted to for years! 18 months ago

I can’t even remember when I thought of giving some of my hair to Locks of Love. It’s always been a goal of mine to do. Last time I went to get my hair done (Jan. 7) my hair dresser measured my hair from root to tip and said I had 24 inches of hair! So, this summer I plan to give anywhere from 10 to 12 inches of hair.

At least my head feels much lighter 18 months ago

Been holding out for the longest time…. then today, I said.. enough… time to give up the hair… who has the scissors… a lonely single tear fell, but the benefits of it going to something good is well worth it

I donated my hair! 10+ inches. Not only are you giving up your hair.. you get that good feeling inside, and you feel much lighter. hehe

I want to help!!!

I cut it today! 2 years ago

I had 10 inches cut today to donate. I still don’t know how I feel about the new haircut, but it will grow back! I’m not going to say this is done until I actually mail the hair, but I’m almost there!

Now I'm just scared 2 years ago

I really need to just do it. My hair is long enough. I’m just scared to chop it all off. I know it will look better when it is cut, but it has been long or medium length for so long! I really need to go this week. I have a friend who said that she would go with me. Wish me luck!

This is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done. It is so much fun to get such a drastic haircut, while donating to a charity at the same time! It feels so good to know that I am helping someone out there that needs it. Even if you don’t like your hair short, your hair will grow back. There are people out there who can’t grow theirs back. If you are nervous or doubting it, just go for it. It pays off.

Im sure theres a Locks of Love website you can just google it. For all the people that have questions…

Im planning on doing it too. Nobody understands how attached a girl can get to her hair though! My boyfriend is like “Its just hair, It will grow back” but when you grow it out for so long you love it!! okay ill shutup now. I will donate it tho.

Those precious children... 2 years ago

When I think about all that they’re going through, giving them my hair seems like such a small sacrifice. I grew my hair out and donated 13 inches about 18 months ago. It was hard, because I love my hair (it’s my favorite part of me!) and I hated having it short. But then again, small sacrifice. Plus, it meant so much more when the little girl I babysat for decided she wanted to do the same thing, so she grew her hair out and donated 11 inches, because I inspired her. Now, my hair’s starting to get long again and I’m thinking about doing it again. I might wait till it’s a little bit longer though.
