As part of a educational college course, I traveled to Peru in January 2008 to study the educational system and it’s crisises. I worked in a preschool for two weeks and it blew me away. I never could have imagined children could have been so happy with so little. Now, with the help of friend who also went, we have founded a club on our campus to help these children and their school. The Armatambo Sustainability Mission is dedicated to providing food, clothing and age and developmentally appropriate toys and supplies to the children of La Cuna Jardin Armatambo. It’s our mission to open people’s eyes and hearts to troubles faced by these young children. If you are interested in learning more or donating to our cause- please contact me!

I want to volunteer in Peru either this summer or next summer. It depends on my financial situation, but I am definitely looking forward to it.
i’ve researched more about peru and there are just soooo much to see.. i feel bad but i think i might need to cut out the volunteering and just do sight seeing.. (nazca, amazon, titicaca, hike up machu picchu..) that’s the down side of being a working person :( actually i think i might have to take a week off without pay too this year..
