I learned to speak Twi about 4 months ago and I think its the best language ever! I speak it around the house and I also taught my parents to speak it. My life is all about Twi, I have my facebook page set on Twi, and yes its possible, if you’re an awesome Twi speaker like me. Just thought I’d spread the word. GO TWI!!!!

I am in Ghana at the moment and really want to learn Twi.
I am busy working at the moment so I wanted a personal tutor or classes I could attend at the weekends or in the evenings. I really need help with the tonation so I don’t think learning it online will really help.
Has anyone got any numbers I can call? I have been googling for a while and can find nothing. There seem to be English/French schools everywhere, though.

I sometimes feel ashamed because I was even born in Ghana too. I could apparently speak it before, but then we moved to America and me and my sister forgot. I don’t know how my sister feels, cuz she was older and maybe remembers much more, but I don’t like not knowing what everyone’s saying. It’s like EVERYONE in my family — aunts,uncles,cousins, BABY cousins — know Twi or Fante or both. One of my cousin’s friend in Canada even learning it so they could talk to each other.

I have given myself a target of December 2009 to learn Twi.
I’m getting married soon and plan to have children and I want nothing more for them to be able to Speak Twi. There are a few resources out there but I believe I am using the best one. Check out Twi Made Easy. It’s quite basic but I think that’s just right for beginners. My partner is planning on learning Twi as wll so we can practice talking to each other too.
