get my fingernails and cuticles smooth, healthy and strong

My beautiful piano students gave a recital on Fry Day and I wanted to look fabulous. I wore a linenish, orangish skirt and blouse; open toe, embroidered suede sandals and I had my toes and nails painted a mauvish with pretty little yellow butterflies hand painted on! I also curled my hair. I looked delish and prettyish.

I had a major break down in july of 06. It was unbelievable. My mind lost all hope and I had no interest-none of living let alone doing things that maked me happy. One weird thing that happened was that I stopped caring about my body. Mind you, this was suddenly…it happened over night. I started to bite my nails, hangnails and cuticles. I’m a mess. GRRRRRRR…why did this happen to me?

Mental Health is valuable; protect it.

I bought a pair of each a toenail and a fingernail clipper.
I like and need a straight edge…very straight for my toes.
I don’t know if anyone else is like that.

tonite I decided that it was the right time to do this. So I filed my short nails smooth and I massaged petroleum jelly into my soon to be good looking, smashing cuticles!

I will do this every nite this week and perhaps every morning in my car on the way to work.

small goal but do-able and definitly will be worth it.

I get so many compliments on my nails—I don’t think they’re that special, so it just goes to show, really, that you don’t have to do much to get your nails looking good.

Oh that middle finger—the nail has just split even more. The others look lovely though. Maybe I’ll just keep the middle fingernail short and pretend it’s because I play a stringed instrument so obscure that no-one’s ever heard of it.

My middle finger nail broke… Sigh. My other nails are pretty good however. I’m going to get a manicure next time I see my beauty lady.

• The nail on my right middle finger has a weak line running down it. It always splits and then it snags and tears and it hurts.
• My cuticles are ragged.
• My nails are all different shapes.
• I want to have attractive hands for when I am bridesmaid to my friend in September

• I am going to keep a bottle of clear protective and nourishing nail polish on my desk at work and next to my desk at home. Whenever my nail splits, I’m going to protect it.
• I am going to see my beauty lady for a manicure.
• I am going to learn how to file my nails properly and find out what shape I want them.
• I am going to keep a nail file on my desk at work and on my desk at home and use it whenever I am waiting for my computer to load up.
