If you need a job to give you a life you either need to get a new job or a new life.
I hate to think I am a nurse and that’s it. I’d hate to think I’ll only be a nurse practitioner, or a MK consultant, or a mother or a wife. I teach music, direct children’s choir, substitute teach and trying to sell my crochet creations. I want to be all of those things. I love jumping from one thing to the other. Most of all I want to be a good person. I feel I am losing myself through all these roles I am playing. I am forgetting who I am. Sometimes though…I hate changing hats…I tend to forget who is under the hat. I want people to see me. I am tired of everybody assuming that I am doing nothing just because I am not working at a hospital. I wish I could scream at them to see me, to fucking see ME for who I truly am. I am trying to show that, it’s so hard to do. So hard not to feel judged by those who believe that one is only as good as their degree or job status.
