connect with old friends

Well me nd my brother met this kid on holiday not long ago…matthew stobart and wanna connect wiv himm…so if we can find his e-mail or adress we can send or write letters 2 him…

I had lunch with an old friend last week! I haven’t seen her in over 4 years and that was a very long time considering we grew up in the same town. It went so well. And we found out that our schools are actually only 15minutes away from each other. We want to meet up once a month now :)

I heard she now lives in California and is a Nurse Anesthetist.

I am so proud of her.

I’ve found 2 friends from high school on Myspace, it’s been cool talking with them again. It’s funny how we are all grown up but still see the kid we once were in each other.

Connected up again with Gloria!!! I met her online on the old hipmama boards 5 years or so ago. She’s also a writer and has a little boy. She helped me through such a rough time during my marriage when I almost got divorced, patiently listening to me vent about Brian anytime I called, even though there is a 3-hour time difference.

Man, Gloria rocks so hard. She runs this amazing group called Latina Mami, which is supportive community outreach for Latina mothers. We lost touch for a minute when she moved, sporadically emailing every other month, then every 4 months, then once or twice a year. We both let our busy mom and working lives get in the way. I’m not losing touch with her again.

The few times I’ve done this, it’s been nice ~ there’s only one person out of those I’ve re-connected with, who hasn’t kept in touch, and he was going through a depressing time (I was too).

I’ve been musing on what ‘old friends’ means…do I mean old friends from childhood? early adulthood? early college days? I guess I mean everybody I was friends with and lost touch with and/or had a falling out with.
