Michael R. is returning to Kansas City
recorded than live
How I did it: I ran around for weeks trying to find the necessary funds and credit card to buy a ticket to Rothbury Festival. I then finally purchased my work exchange ticket and waited impatiently for the day to arrive and luckily i was able to work in the arena where he and Willie Nelson performed. Read how I did it…
it was a couple years ago, when he was on that first minor-league stadium tour with willie nelson, and…i just wanted to see him before he, you know, croaked (pun definitely intended). willie opened, and its amazing, his voice hasnt really changed in fifty years. but bob…oh bob. ok fine, i know not to expect any of the old stuff to sound anything like it used to, im ok with that. but even the new stuff sounded..just bad.
i mean, if you have to see him, you have to see him, and i had to see him, but man..just makes you wish for a little time machine..
@ RIT in the winter of 2005
Seeing Dylan live was pretty incredible. although his voice was cracking from all the drugs/alcohol/singing over the years, the pure experience of seeing such a great rock legend was really amazing.
