It has taken me almost 5 months but I have now lost 14lbs. I just need to focus upon getting shot of the other 14 by the end of September. The good thing is that I haven’t really been dieting – just being a little more mindful of what I’m eating and trying to get moving a bit more.

My old jeans fit me….just! I feel much fitter and have a bit more energy which hopefully will increase with time and effort! Yay!

Another Milestone 10 months ago

I have lost 9lbs since beginning of January – I am now 14stone. I want to lose another 7 lbs by the end of February which should,hopefully, be achievable if I carry on exercising and eating sensibly. What I’m really pleased about is that there have been no extremes of dieting or exercising so the weight loss should be maintainable and fits in with my everyday life.

I can hardly believe it! I have cut out chocolate, crisps etc. but aside from that I haven’t made a radical change to my diet. What I have done is go for a medium to long walk almost every day and spent about 30 mins on the Wii fit. I’m now 14st 3lbs. I need to keep up the momentum!

I weighed myself today (officially the start date for this exercise!)I am the heaviest I have ever weighed! 14 stone 9lbs – YIKES! The Wii fit is out and will be in use a LOT MORE than it has been to date!!

I didn’t gain any, so that’s good. (I had two extra beers last night!)
Today I have had 800 calories so far. I know I am gonna have a big glass of red wine when I get home, so that’s about 1050 calories. I am on my way to skate practice, though, so I better skate HARD to burn the calories!
I wanna wake up at 144 tomorrow!

Well, this morning I weigh in 3 lbs lighter. I am 145lbs.
A pound a day. “too fast” everyone says. “you’ll gain it all back”. Whatever…At least I’m finally losing it, and that’s better than not losing it at all. Even temporary weight loss is better than just being fat all the time. I don’t buy into any dieting strategies I have ever heard or read or tried so far.
I have done Atkins and all related diets, Low Fat diets, high fiber diets, lentil and cabbage diets, fruit diets, tiny meals all day…It all boils down to this for me. I have to take in 900 calories or less a day to lose weight – and THAT is ONLY if I am working out 30minutes or more a day at hard pace.

Without working out, I need to take in 600 calories.
SO, this week, I have been averageing 800 calories a day and anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour of steady cardio and/or weights. This is my diet for this week.
One piece of fruit for breakfast.(50-80 calories)
One piece of (different) fruit for lunch.(50-80 calories)
One vegan burrito for dinner.(300 calories)
2 glasses of wine before bed. (300 calories)
Yesterday, I cheated and had about 200 calories of a gourmet vegan chocolate bar. So, 1000 calories yesterday.
I just ate my morning bannana and will be STARVING for lunch, and then STARVING for dinner. Then I will roller skate for two hours, then have wine and go to bed. My game plan this week (and the next and the next)?
STAY HUNGRY! No, I don’t think I’m crazy. bodybuilders use this strategy all the time. So do models. Most people just won’t admit it because of societal pressure. God! I’m ranting! blah blah blah…! Ah well, I am happy with my recent, small, weight loss and hope to lose 3 more pounds this week.

I have gained a few and lost a few in the last month, but no real loss of weight overall.
I just let GO sometimes…
Also, when I stick to 1200 calories and I don’t lose ANY weight, I get pissed and binge or drink. I have been working out like MAD … roller derby “bootcamp” (that’s what I call it, anyway – what a regime!)2Xweek, pole practice 2Xweek, jogging 2xweek, sit ups and pushups and stretching etc. 3xweek in front of the TV…good GOD I am getting stronger, and my arms are bigger, and no, my pants are NOT looser and I HAVEN’t lost inches OR pounds.
Time to go down to 800 calories/day. Yeah, I know, I will end up starving and bingeing, but I’m at a loss. ugh.

1200 calories ain't NUTHIN 2 years ago

Man, I can be starving all day, tally up my calories and find that I had 1300 calories that day – when my goal was 1000 calories. No, I’m not losing any weight!
And do you know how little food 1300 calories really IS?
MAN…it’s crazy!
