I'm so Anxious!!! 1 month ago

I’ve heard about parkouring before, but I’ve only seen the words, and not the world of it. So, last weekend, I was making a video with my friends for one of their classes, and there was this wall. This amazing wall. We all saw it, and my friend said, “let’s parkour it.” My mind randomly turned on, and I actually knew what he meant by it. We managed to get up it, but since we had just thought of parkouring it on the spot, we didn’t do a good job of getting up it. So I went online a couple day ago, and did a little studying on good climbing form, jumping form, and landing/rolling form from high grounds. I wasn’t able to today, but next weekend, I hope to go parkouring with my friends. Until then!

I want to be free! 1 month ago

I’ve recently stumbled across parkour and was blown away. I want to do this so much. I love that it turns obstacles into pathways!
Before I even think about starting, though, I’ve got to shape up.
I can tell you right now that this will take way longer than 2 days to complete. It’ll probably take me a lifetime. At least, I hope it will!

Parkour 2 months ago

Well I’ve got a couple friends back home that do this and they gave me some advice now I just have to find a place to practice.

The one year milestone! 2 months ago

It’s been a year since I started training for parkour. My body looks…well, pretty damn good.I run about 6 km a day, then I do 1 hour of power training for my upper body.EVERY DAY!(okay, not EVERY day,I take a one day break every 2 weeks or so)The point I am trying to make is that it takes a lot of EFFORT to get good at this.I just read above that the average time to complete this goal is 2 days. That is just Bull$*%#!Like with any other skill,to really get good at it you need to work hard to get better and somehow I just don’t see two days as being anywhere near enough to get even a basic understanding of the sport(or art in motion,as some would call it :-)

well it took awhile, but ive finally recovered nearly all the lost muscle from my knee injury (why did they have to make knee caps breakable?) and im proud to say i think my skill level is now higher than it was before i hurt myself. i finally found a good place to practice close to where i live too.

I’ve been practicing rolls off of a chair on my hardwood floors. The rolls hurt my shoulder where it starts and a bit of my pelvis where it ends. Any tips?

shoes 5 months ago

I’m new, and picking out shoes soon. What are some things I should look for in a good parkour shoe?

I'm a newbie, but at least I am a newbie 5 months ago

I’m not good at anything yet, but I’m getting better with everything.

I suspect this goal will never be finished, and that’s good. Always new things to learn.
