i know i’ve said this before, but just having this goal here reminds me to improve my posture.
i’ve seen radical improvement over the last few days, even. :)
Something happened last night (in my sleep?) and my back now hurts. It’s by no means excruciating but slightly irritating. Maybe my bed is too soft, or maybe I twirled in my sleep to a bad angle. Anyway, I’m feeling a setback, unfortunately.
This makes me feel old. I’m 21 for heavens sake. All the more reason to complete this goal!
I want to work on one aspect of this at a time. Like, be conscious of my spine making sure its straight and I’m not slouching. Then my shoulders, keep them back and relaxed. Then, hopefully I can keep all parts of my body in check and make it a habit and I will be on my way to perfect posture.
I’m going to start by keeping my head back. I notice I have a tendency to sort of jut out my head when I am sitting, but I want to work on keeping my neck straighter and more aligned.

Every time i log in i see my goal: have excellent posture—and immediately become aware of the fact that i’m slouched down so far in my chair i can hardly see my computer screen. hyperbole, of course, but not by much.
so here’s to sitting straighter, walking taller, and living higher. we’ve got a whole month together before i call this done.

Having excellent posture requires exercise, so after this cold snap is over, I’m going to start jogging again.
